Apple offers cash rebates on Power Macs

Apple Computer Inc. will provide mail-in cash rebates of up to $450 on Power Macintosh 7600 and 8600 computers purchased between Dec. 9 and Jan. 19, company officials said today. Buyers of Power Mac 8500s can receive refunds of $250 if they purchase a qualifying 17-inch Apple display monitor at the same time, or $450 if they purchase a 20-inch display monitor at the same time. The purchase of a Power Mac 7600 entitles buyers to a rebate of $150, or $250 if a qualifying 17- or 20-inch display monitor is also purchased. Rebate coupons are available from authorized Apple resellers, via fax by calling (800) 262-0329 and through Apple's World Wide Web site at www.apple.com/. Apple is based in Cupertino, Calif.
