Microsoft posts enhanced OLE DB development kit
By Juan Carlos Perez

The latest version of Microsoft Corp.'s OLE DB software development kit can be downloaded now from the company's World Wide Web site.

The OLE DB SDK 1.1 features an enhanced OLE DB specification that supports multiple returns from a single execution, an updated ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) provider that includes support for multiple result processing, and an enhanced testing tool that records interface calls between an OLE DB client and an OLE DB data store, said officials at the Redmond, Wash., company.

The OLE DB SDK 1.1 comes with Version 1.0 of Microsoft's new Advanced Data Connector product and a copy of the "OLE DB for the ODBC Programmer" white paper. Also included in the SDK are code samples for calling Active Data Objects from VBScript and Java.
