Corel rolls out WebMaster Suite
By Jim Kerstetter

Corel Corp. announced today the shipment of its Corel WebMaster Suite for designing sites on the Web.

The suite sells for a suggested $299 retail price, with a $59.95 upgrade fee for users of the Corel Web Graphics Suite.

Corel WebMaster Suite was initially scheduled to ship two months ago. Corel officials in Ottawa were not immediately available to explain why the suite was delayed.

The software, which runs on Windows 95 and Windows NT, includes Web Page Designer, for Internet authoring; Web Site Manager, which automatically manages local and remote Web sites; bit-map and photo editing based on Corel's Photo-Paint 7, which supports .GIF, JPEG and other formats; vector illustration with CorelDraw technology; animation with Corel's Web Move animation software; three-dimensional virtual reality with Web World, Corel's Virtual Reality Modeling Language-based software; and Web Data, for publishing database information on the Internet.

For a limited time, users can download 30-day trial versions of Corel Web Page Designer, Corel Web Site Manager and Corel Web Data from the Corel Web site at www.corel.com.
